Keith Ekstam, professor of the art and design department at Missouri State University, was recently selected for participation in the contemporary art traveling exhibition Missouri Art Now: A Bicentennial Celebration.
The Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art in St. Joseph, Missouri, will host the exhibition for viewings Sept. 18 – Nov. 7.
An opening reception will take place from 1- 4 p.m. Sept. 18.
About the exhibition
Missouri Art Now: A Bicentennial Celebration is an exhibition comprised of 60 artworks from 60 artists representing the state’s vibrant visual arts culture.
As a collaboration between six art centers across the state, it presents a snapshot of contemporary art from all four corners of Missouri.
About the reception
The reception will take place in conjunction with Smithsonian Museum Day and the opening of another exhibition, The Joe Show: Selections from the Gray Manufacturing Corporate Collection.
The event will be free and open to the public.
A cash bar and refreshments will be available to participants.
