Missouri State University has long been recognized as the top handball program in the country. The program boasts three decades decorated with National Championships, All-American players, and two Hall of Fame inductions.
This year MSU is hosting the United States Handball Association National Collegiate Tournament at the Dr. Thomas H. Burnett Handball Courts. Approximately 160 players from 30 universities will compete Feb. 23-27.
History
Handball is a proud tradition at Missouri State University.
- The men’s team has won eight national titles.
- The women’s team has won 16.
- The combined team (men and women) has won the National Collegiate Championships 15 times since 1993.
- The entire program was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in 2011.
- In 2021, the women’s team was inducted a second time for their continued success.
