Formerly within enrollment management and services, Missouri State University’s office of the registrar now reports directly to the office of the provost. The change took effect July 6, 2023. The alignment of these two offices strengthens the connection between administrative functions and academic affairs.

Placing the office of the registrar under the purview of the office of the provost will foster increased collaboration and streamlined communication between academic leadership and the registrar team. This integration will enable more efficient decision-making and better coordination of efforts, ultimately enhancing the overall academic experience for students.
