Hello, new #InternationalBears!
The Office of International Services is excited to meet you at New International Student Orientation.
Orientation will be held on August 16, 2016 at First and Calvary (see map). We will begin at 8 a.m. and wrap up the day around 4:30 p.m.
New International Student Orientation is required for all new international students in order to maintain your enrollment status. We will share valuable information with you that is critical to your success at Missouri State University. We’ll also have a lot of fun!
Our International Student Leaders team is comprised of current Missouri State students who are active in our campus community who will guide you through the orientation process. They’re great resources for new students when you need advice, guidance, or a friend.
One of our favorite parts of New International Student Orientation is the campus tour and scavenger hunt. You’ll visit offices and buildings on campus and learn how to access important resources at Missouri State with your group and your International Student Leader as your guide.
To make sure you’re ready for New International Student Orientation, you’ll want to bring the following items with you:
- passport
- visa
- I-20 or DS-2019
- I-94 number*
- immigration tutorial confirmation
If you haven’t already, be sure to request airport pick-up for your arrival in Springfield, Missouri. We’ll send our #InternationalBears Welcome Crew to greet you at the airport and transport you to your new home.
For additional information on how to prepare for orientation, visit our Admitted Students page.
*You won’t be provided with a hard copy I-94 card, so you can log on to the I-94 online system to download and print your I-94 number. Bring this when you check in to the International Services office.
