The International Leadership and Training Center (ILTC) organized a 7 days-8 wineries-9 cities Missouri Wine Tour in the week of June 5th for 35 students from Ningxia University Wine School and a two-week Agriculture Tour in the week of June 19th and July 26th for 15 students from Ningxia University Agriculture School. ILTC believes that practical experience ensures students are exposed to the best practices in leadership, management, and specific training fields.
Wine students gained practical experience of wine making process in Missouri wineries, wine marketing strategies from different wineries and Missouri Department of Agriculture, and team building from CEOs in some of the wineries.
Agriculture students visited several farms and other agriculture related institutions. They also had their first visit to Monsanto Research Center. The Dean of Agriculture Department from Ningxia University visited students during the tour.
ILTC focuses on three key aspects in all their programs: academics, practical training, and cultural integration. Those 50 students arrived in Springfield in September 2016 with 10 faculty from Ningxia University. Each of them gained personal and professional skills through the customized program provided by the ILTC over the past 10 months. They will celebrate program completion with a special graduation ceremony July 11, 2017. The Ningxia Program is the largest annual project for ILTC.
