Dr. Jane Robison, the Executive Director of the English Language Institute, won the MIDTESOL 2018 Distinguished Service Award. She now becomes a free Lifetime Member of MIDTESOL.

MIDTESOL is an affiliate of TESOL International Association and has members from four states:  Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska.  Dr. Robison has served on the board in a variety of positions:  Missouri Representative-at-Large, 2001-03; Vice-President/Conference Chair, 2003-04; President, 2004-05; Past President, 2005-06; and MIDTESOL Conference Co-Chair, 2009.

In addition to serving in these capacities, Dr. Robison has been supporting professional development for the ELI instructional staff. For years the ELI has provided funding for both full-time and part-time instructors and directors to attend the annual MIDTESOL Conference.

“It was an honor to receive this award, especially at a conference in which the ELI had significant representation with 17 ELI staff and 27 participants from the Khebrat program, 20 of whom presented at the conference”, said Dr. Robison.
