Do you want to study music in the United States? Do you feel like you need help learning English before you can study in the U.S.? Then let me introduce you to our unique English for Musicians program.
English for Musicians
In the English for Musicians program, students from countries around the world come together to take English classes to improve their speaking, listening, reading, writing, and grammar skills and to prepare them for academic studies at the graduate or undergraduate level. In addition, students take music history and theory courses to review the concepts that they will encounter beyond the program. Students also take private lessons with university professors and participate in ensembles such as choir, orchestra, and band. Therefore, students simultaneously build English and musicianship skills to prepare them for further study in the Music Department.

In the books, on the stage
We love watching the students in our English for Musicians program grow academically and professionally. Semester after semester, we see our students begin to read lengthy scholarly journal articles, give professional presentations, and perform with refined musicianship. This program is no easy feat, but with dedication and perseverance, these musicians and language learners leave with the skills and confidence they need to walk on stage and own every performance.
