Greetings from Springfield, Missouri.  My name is Paula Moore, and I am the Special Programs Director at Missouri State University’s English Language Institute.  We at Missouri State want to thank each of you for being our partners, whether you are a student, a parent, an educational agent, or a partner university administrator.

Making international education happen for one person takes a team of many. We at Special Programs believe that making this happen is worth every bit of energy we put into it.  Sometimes the most intense periods of growth and innovation happen when we have the opportunity to live life among people who are different from us.  I know the time I spent living and working in South Korea and in Taipei changed the direction of my life in ways that I’m even now still discovering.  We hope that you are also still feeling the trans-formative effects of your own international education experiences, wherever you are today.

At the close of 2019, we would like to wish all of you a very prosperous and happy NEW YEAR!  Our hope for you is that something truly magical happens in the upcoming year that opens even more doors for yourself and those you love.  If that happens to be another trip to Springfield, Missouri for a professional retreat, a study program, a vacation, or just a stop-over on your way someplace else, we hope you will remember to visit us.
