Today at approximately 8:40 a.m. a network outage occurred affecting sixteen (16) facilities. A power failure occurred in an outlying building and, when power was restored, the building rejoining the network unexpectedly “confused” the legacy Cisco routers supporting the sixteen (16) buildings causing them to go offline for approximately five (5) minutes while error recovery processes were invoked.

We sincerely regret the disturbances of critical networking and telephone services which resulted and are planning to expedite the replacement of the failing legacy gear as quickly as feasible.
