MOSTATELEAD is a department within the Office of Student Engagement that focuses on developing the campus and community leaders of tomorrow. Throughout each semester, we are excited to add a creative individual that has a passion to reach others in a unique way through their marketing skills! The MOSTATELEAD Marketing Intern position offers an opportunity to students to expand their knowledge in a hands-on learning environment. In this position, there is the opportunity for event planning, video production, graphic design, strategic planning, social media marketing, and so much more! Below are two
experiences from our previous marketing interns!
Here is what Lily Cozad had to say about her experience…
“I was the first one to enter this role and it was really nice because I got to build the position and start establishing concrete responsibilities for the future Marketing Interns. As I was entering this position, MOSTATELEAD was currently undergoing a rebrand process. Being under the leadership of encouraging and like-minded individuals was a big reason the 2017 rebrand was such a large success. This position allowed me to expand my overall skill set but more specifically in video editing, social media marketing, graphic design and event planning. As a public relations major with minors in marketing and advertising, it totally fit in with what I was working on in my classes. I am so thankful I was able to use my passion for creativity to help share this amazing leadership program with other students and staff at the university.”
Here is what Tobi Ponnle had to say about her experience…
“My time as the Marketing Intern for MOSTATELEAD transformed
me as a person and as a professional. Before this opportunity I had only one other internship experience that was more typical, getting coffee and stuffing mailings. That wasn’t what MOSTATELEAD was like at all. Working with Laura, Emma, and Shae pushed me to actually use the skills I had learned in my classes and be able to defend my choices and reasonings which gave me more confidence in myself. As a result, I bettered my abilities in design, social media, and marketing. I created two campaigns that not only look good on my resume but were also exciting projects to work on and learn from. The Leadership Development Department is so amazing because it helps students build on the strengths they already have and that’s exactly what the Marketing Internship did for me.”
This position is open to passionate, creative, and innovative individuals looking to play a major role in achieving our goals for growth within the organization. This individual will collaborate with our leadership team to implement marketing campaigns throughout the semester.
Although this is an unpaid internship, the experience developed will prepare you to enter any fast-paced work environment. This internship is to fulfill class credit requirements through the university.
