First-Year Bears
Jay Collier
Year: Sophomore
Major: History
I am working with the First-Year Bears LLC this year and I am excited to assist students transitioning into life on campus as well as introducing our community to the great place of Missouri State and all the opportunities at our disposal. I hope to bring a fun and enjoyable first year experience to this community at Missouri State!
Fun fact: I own one square foot of land in Scotland which legally makes me a “Lord”.
Nathan Duncan
Year: Sophomore
Major: Pharmacy
I had an amazing experience when I lived on campus my first year. I developed more into the person I wanted to be and not who I was when I was under my parents roof. I want to foster a community that will cause people on our floor to develop into the people they want to be. I want to help residents foster lifelong friendships starting their first year on campus.
Fun fact: I participate in undergraduate research over blood vessel development in embryos.
Gretchen Entzenberger

I am excited to work with the First Year Experience Community because I love meeting new people and helping them find their place at Missouri State. I look forward to encouraging those in my community to get connected, like my RA did when I was a freshmen living in a Living Learning Community.
Fun fact: I am from San Antonio, Texas and love baking, especially cupcakes. Cupcakes will be a regular occurrence in my community!

I was really nervous to come to Missouri State. I thought that MSU wouldn’t be the place for me. However, I was wrong! My first year at MSU was a BLAST and I will give most of the credit to my RA for making that happen. I want to show everyone else coming into Missouri State all of the wonderful things that the campus has to offer and just how easy it is to fall in love with being a MSU Bear. That’s why I’m excited to be an RA on the First-Year Bears, LLC floor!
Fun fact: I’m obsessed with watching game-shows. My favorite show is Family Feud.
Emily Othic
Year: Sophomore
Major: Technically undecided, but I want to go into religious studies and economics.
I am excited about working with the First Year Bears LLC because I feel that I can guide these residents towards campus resources that can help them succeed.
Fun fact: I spent the last two years drinking nothing but water (mostly tap water).
