On Thursday, November 5, students interested in sustainability, including Bears for Sustainability, gathered in the PSU Theater to watch Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story, a documentary film about food waste a one couple’s journey to survive only on food that would have otherwise been thrown away or wasted. We live in a culture of excess where it would be embarrassing to run out of or only have just enough food at an event, but nearly 50% of the food produced in North America does not get eaten. If you want to get involved on campus with this, or other sustainability efforts, check out Sustainability at Missouri State University, who helped bring this event to campus.
