The new student organization, MSU: I’m First, will be presenting a panel discussion around the topic of how students – first gen and otherwise – can learn to hold productive conversations with family and friends when they return home for the summer. The conversation will focus on how students can help their family and friends understand what their college experience has been like and how it has changed them. Also how families and friends can help these students continue down the life paths they have set for themselves this year.
The discussion will take place on Thursday, April 28 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Karl’s Hall RM 101.
The panelists will include:
Desmond Warren – Sophomore Public Relations major
Trysta Herzog – Recent Alumna, MA in Communication and Strategic Communications Specialist for the College of Arts & Letters
Dr. Kelly Wood – Professor of Communication and Provost Fellow for Student Success
