Students attended Education Day, a job placement fair for those looking for employment in the field of education, at University Plaza Convention Center.  Students interacted with three school districts to learn about the types of opportunities available within their field of study (elementary ed, special ed, secondary ed).  Students walked away with great knowledge about the types of experiences they need to be involved with to be a competitive candidate 3 to 4 years from now.  The students were very nervous about the experience, but walked away with a new found sense of confidence following the experience.  After the fair, they enjoyed lunch at Kentwood Hall and there was a lot of conversation about the types of volunteer, practicum, or internship opportunity they want to experience to become more marketable.
