Students in Global Community experienced some Springfield culture by going to Springfield Art Museum, Pythian Castle, Rutledge Wilson Farm Park, and taking a picture with the World’s Largest Fork. Students got to connect to and interpret meaning of art from Springfield Artist. They also shared their culture by writing the title of the museum’s featured art work in their own language. In the Pythian Castles, students learned about the history of a fraternal organization known as the Pythians and the history of the castle and how it was used and the rules while living there. The community wrapped up its day getting to connect with the animal life at Rutledge Wilson Farm Park and taking a picture at a Springfield attraction.
