American National is seeking a Career Development Trainee (Intern) for our Marketing division in Springfield, MO.  This exciting opportunity will provide experience in a variety of marketing areas. You will be exposed to all marketing functions, including, but not limited to; campaign development, data crunching, artwork creation, and web design. This is a unique opportunity to choose projects that fit your interest and develop resume-building skillsets!

Job Duties:

• Assist agents while gaining exposure to local marketing plans and advertising at the local level.
• Help agents across the country pay for their marketing efforts by administering a marketing co-op program.
• Gain real world experience by supporting management in the development and execution of marketing campaigns.
• We can’t forget special projects! Gain sponsorship for shows, event planning and management, and design projects.

Work Hours: an average of 15 to 30 hours per week while school is in session (flexible scheduling ranging from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday); up to 37.5 hours per week during college break(s).

Qualifications:

• Must be a current student! Marketing or related major, with a minimum of 60 hours completed, GPA of 2.5 or above, and ability to work 15-30 hours/week year-round
• One year of schooling remaining, preferred
• Marketing degree in process preferred
• Computer experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and InDesign (preferred)
• Good communication skills and detail oriented with good multi-tasking skills.
