Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyzes Operating Company and U.S. LBM total requirements for purchased goods.
- Analyzes and ranks vendor performance according to U.S. LBM Vendor Dashboard.
- Prepares and analyzes data to determine best price, rebate and terms performance for vendors in a common category.
- Performs mining, collecting, and categorizing spend data for interpretation using analytical tools.
- Conducts pricing analyses, opportunity assessments, benchmarking, cost modeling and root cause analysis to develop recommendations.
- Analyzes and records purchasing cost reductions per yearly target.
- Provides guidance and support for Category Management and Pricing Management.
- Prepares summary reporting for U.S. LBM and Operating Company leadership.
- Establishes contact and maintains communications with appropriate vendor representatives, as well as internal divisional stakeholders.
- Monitors discount and rebate programs, tracks rebate monies and tracks YTD purchases as required to meet established goals.
- Provides support for projects to reduce variation, shorten cycle times and eliminate waste in the procurement process.
Required Qualifications:
- Full-time student who is in good standing with their college or university
- On track for a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree, at an accredited program, in Business, Construction, Logistics, Operations, Management, Supply Chain, or related fields
- Legally able to work in the United States
- Solid understanding of production and manufacturing process
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
- Must have excellent communication and multitasking skills
