Description:
The marketing management graduate assistant supports the strategic communication team in student recruitment and marketing efforts. This role involves maintaining websites, assisting with marketing research, and helping execute campaigns. The assistant also contributes to strategy development and various tasks to support the marketing team, requiring strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities:
• Update and maintain Missouri State University websites and blogs using the content
management system.
• Write copy for the web, blogs and emails.
• Build websites using Missouri State’s content management system (no development skills
necessary).
• Assist with email marketing campaigns, including content creation and distribution.
• Collaborate with the digital marketing and web team on various projects and initiatives.
• Assist in reporting website analytics to clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall goals of the department.
Qualifications:
• General understanding of marketing best practices.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• General understanding of publishing content to websites and blogs.
• Familiarity with web processes and best practices.
• Familiarity with basic web analytics and marketing metrics.
Educational background: marketing, design, professional and technical writing, public relations or strategic communication.
