It’s Latinx Heritage Month! September is one of my favorite months of the year because I’m able to celebrate my Latinx roots. MSU Multicultural Programs have a fun filled calendar or the month to celebrate! Although it’s mid September there are still so many fun events to attend. All of the events are unique and one of a kind.
So far there have been so many great events. We’ve had a few movie screenings and we even had a game night! The fun still hasn’t ended. We have our main event, Carnaval, tomorrow night. There’s going to be food, performances, and so much more. Tickets are $5 and you can purchase them at the PSU or MRC Annex. These events are for people to come have fun and get educated on the beautiful Latinx culture.
Latinx Heritage Month officially began September 15th nationally and ends October 15th. Latinx Heritage Month is about celebrating our Latinx roots, history, and family. Latinx folks in the United States have contributed greatly to this country and continue to do so. From Cesar Chavez, Roberto Clemente, to Lin-Manuel Miranda, have all contributed to this beautiful country as activists, athletes, and artists. All immigrants make this country diverse and beautiful. I hope you all are able to make it to a few events!
