Missouri State University and the Judith Enyeart Reynolds College of Arts and Letters are excited to announce the return of the Missouri Fine Arts Academy in the summer of 2022.
The Missouri Fine Arts Academy (MFAA) is a two-week residential program for high school students in the arts. The MFAA focuses on discipline-specific and interdisciplinary approaches and welcomes students in visual arts, theatre, dance, creative writing, and music.
The academy is scheduled for June 12-25, 2022 and the application process begins in November. We invite high school students in their sophomore, junior, or senior year to apply.
Additionally, when students attend the academy, they will have an opportunity to experience the new John Goodman Amphitheater in the Judith Enyeart Reynolds Arts Park.
The Missouri Fine Arts Academy takes place on the campus of Missouri State University, known as a Destination Campus for the Arts. The MFAA class of 2022 will enjoy the most innovative arts experience across Missouri with courses in Brick City—”an urban oasis” for art and design—and Ellis Hall—designated with the honor of All-Steinway School status, a title bestowed on only four schools in the state of Missouri. Students will also work with distinguished faculty and various professionals in their artistic fields.
In hosting the academy, Missouri State University continues its commitment to transformative arts experiences and its dedication to affordability and inclusion.
How to apply
The application process opens Nov. 5, 2021.
The academy is open to current high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
