LTC Toni M. Rieke is from Belle, Missouri and in 1991 first enlisted in the Army Reserves as a Medic. She is a 1997 graduate of Missouri State University Reserve Officer Training program where she majored in Physical Education and was a member of the MSU DIV I Softball team. LTC Rieke was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Ordnance Corps and entered active duty in 1998. LTC Rieke also holds a Master of Science in Project Management from the University of Maryland University College and a Master of Science in National Security and Strategic Resourcing from National Defense University – The Eisenhower School.
Military Education includes a graduate of Basic Training, Ordnance Officer Basic Course, Combined Logistics Captains Career Course (CLC3), Combined Arms and Services Staff School (CAS3), Command and General Staff College (ILE), Senior Service College, the Military Assistance Security Advisor Course and The Army Inspector General School.
Her first assignment was in the 303rd Det Field Hospital as a Medical Specialist. After her commissioning, she served in various assignments within the 1st COSCOM, Fort Bragg, NC. Assignments include HQ Platoon Leader, Automotive Platoon Leader for the 58th Maintenance Company (GS); S-4 for the 4/159th Aviation Maintenance Battalion, Group Budget Officer for the 507th Corps Support Group.
After completing the Logistics Captains Career Course, LTC Rieke was assigned as the 84th Ordnance Company Commander (Ammunition) in Camp Carroll, Korea. Following Korea, she was the S-1/Adjutant for the 5/78th Training Support Brigade, Fort Meade, Maryland. She deployed to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait serving as the Combined Forces Land Combatant Command (CFLCC) C4 Maintenance Officer, and then served as the Ordnance Career Manager at Human Resources Command, Alexandria, VA. LTC Rieke served as an Army Fellow, Executive Officer to the Assistant Secretary for the Department of Labor, Veterans Employment and Training Service upon completion deployed again serving as the Operations Officer on an Iraq Military Transition Team. Then served as the Battalion Executive Officer for the 701st Brigade Support Battalion, Fort Riley, KS and deployed to Afghanistan. LTC Rieke served as the Aide de Camp to The Inspector General of the Army, Washington, DC and then as the Assistant Executive Officer to The Inspector General of The Army, Washington, DC followed by Commander, 100th Brigade Support Battalion Fort Sill, OK and presently serving as the Professor of Military Science, Missouri State University.
LTC Rieke’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star (1 Oak Leaf Cluster (OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (6 OLC), the Army Accommodation Medal (1 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (1 OLC), National Defense Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service and the NATO Ribbon. Unit Awards include the Army Superior Unit Award and the Meritorious Unit Award.
