Five decades of singers under Dr. Guy B. Webb’s direction will gather June 28 for a special reunion concert to raise fund for the Dr. Guy B. Webb Touring Scholarship.

The alumni will be joined by Springfield Chamber Chorus. The event will start at 4 p.m. at Springfield’s Immaculate Conception Church. Webb will direct the ensemble.

Scholarship to help students on choir tours

After Webb retired in 2014, alumni began raising funds to endow the Dr. Guy B. Webb Touring Scholarship. The scholarship will be used to provide financial assistance to Missouri State students for both domestic and international choir tours.

The group hopes to have it fully endowed by fall 2015 so the funds will be available to MSU’s Chorale students attending a May 2016 trip to Africa.
