This year’s Bands Alive! summer camp’s culminating concert will be at 3 p.m. July 9 at Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts. Campers will perform pieces learned throughout their time at the five-day camp.

About Bands Alive!
Bands Alive! provides opportunities for students in grades 6-12 to train with Missouri State’s Pride Band program and develop skills as musicians and leaders under the direction of music educators throughout the Midwest. This year’s program, Band Blast 2015, included:
- Concert Band Camp: Band music in the concert setting for middle school and high school students
- Leadership Camp: Leadership methods for high school drum majors, section leaders and color guard captains
- Spin Camp: Marching specialties for high school students in flag, rifle, sabre, exercise and marching basics
