The College of Arts and Letters at Missouri State University is seeking a coordinator of the musical theatre program. This is a faculty position that begins August 15, 2016.
Duties
Coordinate a nationally recognized musical theatre program; an interdisciplinary undergraduate BFA degree program of 55 students, including overall supervision of the area: auditioning, budgeting, curriculum, programming, recruiting; directing stage productions; teaching appropriate musical theatre courses; coordinating the Senior Showcase; opportunities to work in Equity summer theatre on campus.
Required Qualifications
Must hold terminal degree in one of the contributing areas (Music, Theatre, Dance). Demonstrated academic, administrative and professional experience, with significant achievement as a performer, director, choreographer, or designer. Thorough knowledge of musical theatre history and repertoire and understanding of current trends in musical theatre; strong industry connections. Vision and ability to take successful, stable program to the next level. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
