The Missouri State University College of Arts and Letters is thriving already with concerts and exclusive invitations around the country.
Music professor Michael A. Murray, together with other COAL alumni, performed “Friday at Four Chamber Music Recital: Two Piano Quartet Masterworks of Mozart and Dvorak,” Sept. 5.
- Cameron LaBarr, director of choral studies, was awarded a fellowship with the International Conductors Exchange Program to Sweden in 2015, becoming one of 15 conductors selected from the United States.
- Assistant Professor of Voice and Opera, Ann Marie Daehn and collaborative pianist Elizabeth Avery from the University of Oklahoma, will be featured performers at the 2014 Eastman’s Alumni Weekend entitled, “Plays Well with Others,” on Oct. 17-18. Daehn and Avery will perform five songs from their Kagen lecture recital.
- Daniel Hellman, associate music professor, was elected to a six-year term on the editorial review board of the “Journal of Music Teacher Education.”
