Reception to raise funds for choral studies scholarship

MSU-GuyWebb-PieceOfTheLegacy-BlogAlumna Melissa Scott (’86 and ’10) and her husband, Dan, will host a fundraiser on May 5 for the Dr. Guy B. Webb Touring Scholarship fund.

About the event

The reception is hosted in collaboration with the Missouri State University Foundation and the University’s music department.

The evening will include light hors d’oeuvres, wine, live piano music and a 360-degree views of downtown Springfield from the Scotts’ rooftop garden.

Dr. Webb will be available for signing memorabilia, and Dr. Cameron LaBarr, MSU’s director of choral studies, will make remarks.

RSVP by May 1.

About the scholarship

The Scotts began the fund last year upon Webb’s retirement to benefit MSU’s choral studies’ touring events.

Admission: Free and open to the public, with suggested minimum $25 donation per person
