Certified Distance Educators Award Recipients


Mathematics instructors, Kimberly Van Ornum and Patti Blanton, were recently awarded the Certified Distance Educator Award by Missouri State Online.
To be eligible for this award, Kimberly and Patti, had to complete three professional development activities related to distance education.
Kimberly met this requirement by completing the Webinar on Learning Catalytics, Faculty Grade Entry training sessions and participating in Publisher training sessions for MyMathLabs.
Patti met this requirement by completing the Blackboard Black Belt Certification (all components) and Infographics for the Classroom and Academic Poster Sessions.
As recipients of this award, Kimberly and Patti demonstrate their commitment to pursuing expertise in innovative instructional methodology and to providing the highest quality of distance learning education to their students.
