We returned to campus for the fall 2020 semester, which looked significantly different than normal. However, our community came together and safely adapted their expectations, which led to an engaging and enriching semester.
Chromaphone: Brianna Bass
August 24 – September 19
We opened the fall 2020 semester with Chromaphone, featuring a body of work from Tennessee artist Brianna Bass. Through instrumentalizing color, Bass’s paintings invited a deeper reading of color harmony and enrich the viewers experience of abstract painting.
Celebratory BFA
October 2 – November 6
To properly celebrate our students who had their BFA in Art Senior Exhibition abruptly cancelled, we created a celebratory exhibition to invite our spring 2020 cohort back to exhibit at the Brick City Gallery coinciding with their homecoming graduation ceremony.
Fall 2020 BFA in Art Senior Exhibition
November 18 – December 5
Every semester, the Brick City Gallery is pleased to host an exhibition of work by graduating students from the Department of Art and Design. The fall exhibition showcased the talent and skill of students who have spent years developing an artistic practice that will carry them into their professional careers.
