Always nice to hear from alumni. Here’s an update from Kyle Coble:
Upon graduation in 2003, we moved east so my wife could pursue her MA in Gerontology at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. For a couple years, I worked as a community relations manager at Barnes & Noble (although not the same one that fellow alumni Andrew Dougherty ended up at). In 2008, after serving a year working as a coordinator for ASSE exchange programs, I matriculated into the PhD program in Marketing & International Business at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO.
After 4 years, my dissertation ‘Perceived History: Effects on Willingness to Expatriate and Purchase Intentions’ was accepted (see the IR bent?) and I took a position as program chair for marketing in the evening college at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO in 2012. In 2015, I moved into my current role in the Plaster School of Business & Entrepreneurship (yes, it’s the same Plaster whose name graces multiple buildings at Missouri State) as an Assistant Professor of Marketing, and, as of 2017, also the Magellan Student Exchange Program Coordinator (a program I participated in back in Missouri State).
