The Political Science Department is pleased to announce that it will partner with the Greene County Office of Emergency Management to offer Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training.
Community Emergency Response Team is an excellent course for learning more about how the University and the community responds to emergencies at home and at work. The skills learned in this training session will help you better respond to the safety and care of your family and fellow workers for all levels of emergency situations.
The CERT program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. This 24 hour classroom and hands on training course is presented by local area law enforcement, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel.
