The National Association of Colleges and Employers published the highlights of a recent study, “The Impact of Unpaid Internships on the Career Success of Liberal Arts Graduates,” by Guarise and Kostenblatt’s. The article highlights the study’s findings regarding the positive impact of unpaid internships on short- and long-term career success.
The study showed that “students with unpaid internships found jobs more quickly and had higher starting salaries than those with no internships.” It was also noted that “[a] majority of respondents cited an unpaid internship as most meaningful.” No surprise there.
