Digital Professor Academy
The Digital Professor Academy is designed to assist faculty in the development of solid pedagogical teaching practices regardless of the instructional environment. While a significant portion of the DPA is delivered online, faculty will also have opportunity to participate in hands-on workshops that are aligned to the goals of the course and as well as support of Instructional Designers in the FCTL.
Course Objectives:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the instructional design process utilizing the concept of Backwards Design to develop an instructional plan for their course.
- Assess and analyze current course objectives to ensure that they are measurable and aligned with the course outcomes.
- Analyze various assessment practices in order to determine that the assessments are aligned with course objectives and are appropriate measures of outcomes.
- Understand the value of building learning communities and develop strategies for developing community within the classroom.
Plan to attend one of these orientation sessions to learn more about this program.
- Tuesday, January 19 2:00–2:50 p.m.
- Thursday, January 21 3:30–4:20 p.m.
- Monday, January 25 9:00–9:50 a.m.
