New library course offered
Beginning Tuesday, October 16, 2018, the MSU Libraries will offer a one-credit course on several emerging technologies, including virtual reality, augmented reality, robotics, and 3D printing. The goal of the course is to help students develop practical skills and fundamental knowledge regarding these emerging technologies, which promise to fuel new interdisciplinary work in higher education, business, and industry.
What does the Testing Center offer?
The Testing Center in Meyer Library aims to provide a professional testing environment for the campus and the community that supports the public affairs mission of the University by:
- Enabling test takers to perform at their maximum ability
- Providing a secure, quiet, clean, accommodating, and accessible environment
- Serving as the primary liaison for outside testing agencies and institutions
- Facilitating the testing needs of on-campus and distance-learning students
- Providing a knowledgeable and courteous testing staff
- Making national and professional entrance, certification, and advanced-standing examinations available to the campus and community
- Assisting students in meeting their educational goals
Facilities at the Testing Center include:
- 62 computer stations for delivery of computer-based exams
- 7 cubicles for delivery of paper-based exams, with the potential of an additional 32 seats
- 3 private physical accommodation rooms
- 1 private distraction reduced room
- Noise-cancelling headphones and/or earplugs upon request.
The Testing Center administered nearly 17,000 exams between June 30, 2017 and July 1, 2018, 70% of which were to Missouri State students. Please visit the testing center website or contact the Testing Center Coordinator for more information.
