The FCTL Advisory Council is proud to announce that James M. Lang, PhD will be this year’s keynote speaker. Dr. Lang is the author of six books and writes a monthly column on teaching and learning in The Chronicle of Higher Education.
The keynote, Small Teaching: Content, Connection, Inspiration will be an interactive lecture offering practical suggestions for how to foster positive change in higher education teaching and learning.
All registrants will receive a copy of Dr. Lang’s book, Small Teaching: Everyday Lessons from the Science of Learning.

Who’s going to be at Showcase this year?
Join Natalie Curry as she shares how the Bachelor of Social Work Program launched a Peer Group Program in fall 2021 to promote a sense of connectedness and increased retention in BSW. Faculty attending the session will learn about the formation and structure of this student retention program and how it might be replicated in other programs.
