A study of 70 higher education institutions in the U.S. by Dr. Sara Goldrick-Rab found that two out of three college students did not have enough access to food. If this affects you or anyone you know, please let them know about the resources available to them in our community. The Well of Life Food Pantry “welcomes students who may be going hungry, not able to make ends meet, facing a delay in Financial Aid or other assistance, etc.” Learn more about other resources available here: https://www.missouristate.edu/CommunityInvolvement/169115.htm
Student Assistance
Any student who has difficulty obtaining enough food to eat every day or who lacks a safe and stable place to live – and believes this may affect their performance in the course – is encouraged to contact the Dean of Students, Dr. Thomas Lane, at 417-836-5527 or ThomasLane@missouristate.edu for support. Furthermore, please notify the professor if you are comfortable in doing so. This will enable her to provide any resources she may possess.
