It’s that time of the year again! Springfield’s annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be on September 21, 2019. For those of you who are not familiar, this event is hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association, a global organization devoted to working to advance care, support and research across the world. From face-to-face support to online education programs and promising worldwide research initiatives, the money you raise makes a difference in the lives of those facing Alzheimer’s. We are hoping you will consider joining our team and/or donate to support our team. A big THANK YOU to everyone who has already donated and agreed to join us for the walk! Registration: 9 am (This is when registration STARTS, you need to be there by 9 am but if you want pancakes, be there a little earlier)
Opening Ceremony: 10 am (2 mile walk to immediately follow)

Join Our Team!
To register on our team, go to our team page or to the event homepage and search for our team “Missouri State GER Club.” Once you are on our team page, click “join our team,” and register.
Help Us Fundraise!
The Alzheimer’s Association makes it easy to host a fundraiser via social media. Once you are registered, go to your “Participant Center” and click on “Social Media.” From there, you can host a fundraiser using your Facebook account. You can also post pre-made messages asking for support to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- If you would like to participate in the walk, register online BEFORE you arrive.
- All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
- If you raise $100, you get a free t-shirt that can be picked up on Walk day.
- If you have children, register them online as well (even if they don’t raise money).
- Dogs are welcome!!
