Graduate Student: Plant Science
Cady Goble has found her passion and is incorporating the public affairs mission both personally and throughout her studies.
Since 2012, Cady has been involved with the Missouri State Campus Gardens and the Horticulture Club, where she has served as President. She became involved as a result of volunteering with the Watershed Committee of the Ozarks and activities through the Professional Landcare Network. She states, “Sustainability and horticulture are big passions of mine. If we have a passion or skill that we can use to make an impact in the lives of others, we should use it, no matter how large or small that contribution might be. Through working with various agencies, I have gained valuable experience that I can take with me throughout life’s journeys, no matter where that may lead.” Through volunteering, Cady says she has discovered the great value in connecting and building relationships with others.
Cady’s inspiration is finding new ways to serve others and assisting organizations who help provide food to the community, such as Campus Gardens and Springfield Community Gardens. We are pleased to honor Cady Goble as the February Student Spotlight for her commitment to community engagement and ethical leadership.
