Last fall the sixth annual Dr. Michael N. Compton Public Affairs Essay Contest addressed the 2020-2021 public affairs theme, The Power of Voice. Join us in continuing to congratulate the top winners for their insightful and innovative perspectives on this year’s public affairs theme.
1st Place: Veronica Jacobs, Senior, Anthropology major, French and Linguistics minor.
2nd Place: Desiree Nixon, Sophomore, Journalism major, Political Science minor.
3rd Place: Cassidy Farrar, Junior, Intercultural Communication major, English minor.
First place recipient receives a cash award of $500 plus a $500 cash donation in their name to a non-profit or charity of their choice. The contest and it’s first place award is sponsored by the Institute for Development of Ethics And Leadership—IDEAL. IDEAL is a non-profit organization established by the alumni of the Alpha Rho Chapter of Sigma Pi Fraternity at MSU.
