CITIZENSHIP & SERVICE-LEARNING
Vision Screening Program wins 2020 Award!
MSU’s Vision Screening Program received the 2020 Award for Homeless Advocacy for Collaboration, Compassion and Generosity, presented by the Community Partnership of the Ozarks. This award honored programs that met basic needs for people experiencing homelessness during the COVID-19 Pandemic. “This is quite the honor for our program considering we worked with the homeless population during the fall semester. Thanks to our service-learning students who make this happen, to our faculty who provide opportunities for students to engage in service-learning through their courses, to administration and leadership who support this program, and to my team out of the service-learning office who coordinate this large endeavor and make it happen. We are honored to receive this award” states Kathy Nordyke, CASL Director.
