
Former SAA members and university alumni returned to their alma mater to help celebrate Missouri State’s Rock this Town Homecoming Oct. 23 and 24. University alumni and friends were invited to join the weekend’s festivities which included the annual Homecoming Dinner and Awards Ceremony, 5K run, parade, special reunions, Bearfest Village tailgate party and Homecoming football game.
Current R.E.A.L. Bears members volunteered a grand total of 224 hours during Homecoming weekend to help make the 2010 Homecoming a hit! R.E.A.L. Bears were found participating in a number of activities throughout the weekend, from decorating for the Homecoming Dinner, to welcoming guests to special events, to spreading Missouri State spirit at the Bearfest Village Maroonation tent.
The organization has continued the long-standing tradition of hosting the football skyboxes at every Bears’ home football game, and the Homecoming game was no exception. Former SAA members paid a visit to current students working the skyboxes and members shared stories about the organization’s traditions and activities both past and present.
