Lori Fan, executive director of alumni relations, gives an update on the rebuilding of the Missouri State University Alumni Association Board.

Dear R.E.A.L. Bear,

It’s been a busy summer and fall! Let me first give an enormous shoutout to the R.E.A.L. Bears who worked countless hours to help put on the biggest and best Homecoming celebration ever! We simply could not have pulled it off without all of you.

Since my last note, more than 60 alumni and students, including current and alumni members of R.E.A.L. Bears, have participated in a series of twenty different focus group sessions to discuss the future of your Alumni Association.   We have now developed the foundation for building a dynamic and responsive Alumni Association Board that will take us to the next level. THANK YOU!

We have begun recruiting the founding members of the NEW MSU Alumni Association board of directors, and I invite and encourage all R.E.A.L. Bears alumni to consider joining either the board or the new Alumni Council. Of course, one of the 18 directors will be a current member of R.E.A.L. Bears.
