Want to get involved with a Public Affairs activity that is free, easy to do, helps you get rid of the extra stuff in your closets, and helps feed people, all at the same time?
Then join the Stomp Out Hunger: All Collegiate Shoe Drive from now until October 19, 2013! Look for the blue boxes in Strong Hall (and elsewhere on campus) to donate your used shoes. Collect shoes from friends, families, strangers, and roommates to donate for a good cause.
Shoes that are usable will be given to those who need them, shoes that are no longer usable will be recycled and the money earned will go toward buying food for hungry people. It’s win-win!
Thanks to our Senior Instructor, Lora Hobbs, and her assistant, Religious Studies student Samantha Nichols, for their help in organizing this worthwhile event, along with the MSU Office of Public Affairs, Drury, Evangel, OTC, and SBU.
