Yet again, a Religious Studies major has been chosen for the prestigious Citizen Scholar Award at Missouri State University. Mia Sethi, a Religious Studies and Economics double-major and an Accelerated Masters student in Religious Studies, was honored in a ceremony with five other recipients on December 12. Two Religious Studies alumni, Samantha Nichols and Ali Jemes, were also awarded Citizen Scholars in previous years.
It is worth noting that one of the other new Citizen Scholars, Rachel Prather, was instrumental in the development of the “Seeing More Clearly in Haiti” Study Away Program, created and led by Religious Studies Senior Instructor Lora Hobbs.
The Citizen Scholar award is the highest honor an MSU student can achieve. Congratulations, Mia and Rachel, and all of the Citizen Scholars!
