Congratulations to our Missouri State University Religious Studies alumnus, Mark Arnold (M.A., 2012), for being recognized for his work in implementing Meyer Library’s new information system, FOLIO (the Future Of Libraries Is Open)!

MSU has the distinction of being the first academic institution in the United States to fully implement FOLIO — the Future Of Libraries Is Open — the new open-source library services platform.

The implementation team at the MSU Libraries worked with a team from EBSCO, which is hosting the new system for MSU, and librarians and developers in Europe to bring up the new systems. It truly was a worldwide collaborative team effort, but several individuals at MSU deserve a shout-out for their amazing contributions: Raegan Wiechert, Tracy Patton, Brooks Travis, and Mark Arnold. These four employees of the MSU Libraries have quickly become go-to experts within the worldwide FOLIO community for their innovative thinking and expertise on various aspects of this exciting new system.

We look forward to using the new system and appreciate the efforts of all the staff at Meyer Library.
