Congratulations to Dr. Amy Artman, Instructor in the Department of Religious Studies, who was recently awarded the “Master Online Course Recognition Award: Best in Category – Assessment & Feedback” at the recent All Faculty Recognition ceremony 28 May 2020. No surprise to anyone who knows her, Dr. Artman’s enthusiasm and engaging teaching style are appreciated by her students and colleagues.
The award highlights her online course, REL 210 – Paths of World Religions, which she also teaches in the classroom. Dr. Artman is an alumna of Missouri State University’s Religious Studies Department; she earned her MDiv at Texas Christian University and PhD at the University of Chicago. Her primary research is Pentecostalism and Charismatic Christianity and, along with REL 210, this summer she is teaching the online course, REL 530 (undergraduate)/REL 635 (graduate), The History of Pentecostalism.
