This fall, the Department of Religious Studies’ graduate program will see a change of leadership as Dr. Jack Llewellyn steps down after several years of service to make way for our new graduate program director, Dr. Mark Given.
Dr. Given, Associate Professor of Religion, earned his Ph.D. at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and has since taught courses in Biblical Studies, especially the New Testament, Paul, Ethics, Rhetoric, Greco-Roman philosophy, theories of religion, and postmodern Biblical criticism. He previously served as graduate director some years ago, so he is well-prepared and excited to resume his work with our Religious Studies graduate students.

We thank Dr. Llewellyn for his energetic work guiding our M.A. students and welcome back Dr. Given as director!
