You never know where your Missouri State University Religious Studies degree will take you!  We recently heard from three of our Religious Studies alumni, Danielle (Thompson) Waldron, Tori Armstrong, and Jade Callaway, announcing that they started a new book-club podcast, “Bringing Reading Back”, and just began the release of season two.

Danielle (MSU REL M.A., 2019), Jade (MSU REL M.A., 2020), and Tori (MSU REL M.A., 2021), make up The BRB Trio, as they call themselves, and describe the podcast as “where we dive deeper into some of our favorite and new books. Join us as we rediscover our love of reading and, remember, this is not your mother’s book club!”

Find the “Bringing Reading Back” podcast on Apple, Google Play, or ListenNotes.com.  Or contact them at BringingReadingBackPodcast@gmail.com.

This makes the second podcast (that I am aware of) begun by Religious Studies alumni.  The first is “Weird Religion”, by Dr. Brian Doak (MSU REL M.A., 2004) and Dr. Leah Payne, both professors at George Fox University.  Their podcast is described as “the award-winning podcast for people who know religion is weird, but love it anyway.”  To listen, visit https://www.weirdreligion.com/ or find it on Apple, Spotify, Stitcher, or Google Play.
