Missouri State University students have a new housing opportunity, thanks to the University’s purchase of The Monroe apartment building, located at 1141 E. Monroe. The Board of Governors approved the purchase Friday, October 26 (http://news.missouristate.edu/2012/10/26/missouri-state-university-purchases-the-monroe-apartment-complex/ ).
The students currently in The Monroe now will continue living there under their existing lease agreement through July 31, 2013.
The Monroe provides apartment-style living at an energy-saving convenient location with no-hassle parking. The apartments offer private bedrooms and baths with fully-furnished kitchens, as well as washers and dryers for each unit. The Monroe includes one-, two-, and four- bedroom units. Other amenities include a cable package and internet access throughout the building.
An Open House and presentation of the 2013-2014 Reapplication Process for all campus residents is being planned for those interested specifically in the Monroe. An overview of the process can be found at http://reslife.missouristate.edu/whosin.htm
