Reported Motor Vehicle Theft

On the afternoon of November 1, 2018, a Missouri State University student reported a motor vehicle theft. The student reported that the vehicle was parked near the intersection of John Q Hammons Parkway and Elm Street on the evening of October 31, 2018. This afternoon, the student returned and found the vehicle missing. The student reported that the vehicle was locked when it was parked, but there was a spare key in the vehicle.

 Yesterday, a Missouri State University student reported a motor vehicle theft. The student reported that the vehicle was parked in Bear Park North, 725 East Cherry Street, and locked at the time it was parked last week. The student returned to the vehicle yesterday and found the vehicle missing.

These incidents are being investigated by the Springfield Police Department.
