Start the new semester by attending an art exhibit at the Student Exhibition Center! The Art and Design Department presents the Foundations Exhibition. This exhibit starts on Tuesday, January 24 and continues until Saturday, February 11. The reception will be part of First Friday Art Walk on Friday, February 3, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

The Foundations Exhibit is one of the most interesting exhibits held at SEC. Beginning level classes show projects that were assigned to show students’ understanding of various artistic concepts. The courses featured are Art 100 – Two-Dimensional Design; Art 101 – Three-Dimensional Design; Art 115 – Drawing I and Art 215 – Drawing II. Completion of these classes is required to gain acceptance in the degree programs of the department, and many of these course are required for various other programs throughout the University.
